Pyjama day!

We tried some porridge at snack time

Taking part in 'Guga Fit'

We were really good at copying all the exercises!

We have been talking about nocturnal animals and dressed up as some of them.

Termly Overview

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This term our topic will be "When I fall Asleep". The main focus of this topic is Knowledge and Understanding of the World. It allows the children to experience 'after dark'. This includes exploring the moon, stars, nocturnal animals and bedtime routines.

During this term, the children will learn about:
 • Bedtime routines
 • How the sky looks at night, focusing on the moon and the stars
 • Light sources and that dark is the absence of light
 • The habitats and behaviours of nocturnal animals such as owls, bats and foxes
 • Time
 • Songs and rhymes associated with night time
• Dreams that they have experienced and express their feelings
• Keeping and feeling safe at night time
• Emergent writing, mark making and drawing
 • Simple Welsh words and phrases that relate to a range of experiences both in the indoor and outdoor environment.
