We have been continuing to observe our ants and caterpillars.

The ants have been busy building tunnels

The caterpillars ate their food and grew so big!

The caterpillars then worked hard to build themselves a cocoon. They have pretty gold tips.

We transferred them to the butterfly garden and we are now waiting for them to turn into beautiful painted lady butterflies.

We went on a minibeast hunt. We found spiders, slugs, butterflies, ladybirds and ants

We have been talking about the lifecycle of a butterfly and sequencing pictures

We made model spiders by painting egg boxes with black paint and adding pipe cleaners for legs
